Description and Qualifications

• Manage environmental permitting and compliance.

• Interface with local, state and federal regulators.

• Train and develop site personnel in environmental and permitting issues.

• BS Engineering or Science. Prefer Mining, Geology or Civil Engineering.

• Experience in Mining, Milling and Quarrying in Metals or other similar Minerals or Heavy Manufacturing.

• Track record of success acquiring permits and achieving site environmental compliance.

• Set plant safety and industrial hygiene policy, philosophy, and guidelines.

• Advises senior management on safety and health compliance.

• Manage site Workers’ Compensation activities and implement comprehensive program to reduce costs.

• Perform site safety audits.

• Track-record of success implementing Behavior-based safety and health programs in industrial manufacturing, refining, mining or heavy construction facilities.

• CSP or other certification such as MSHA trainer a plus.
