Senior Exploration Geologist

The Senior Exploration Geologist will maintain high corporate visibility by reporting directly to the Director of Exploration & Mining.  With considerable responsibility, the incumbent will help manage the Company’s exploration program.  Key to this will be to gather and interpret geologic information so as to increase and better quantify ore reserves for the division.

Additional responsibilities of this position include:

·         Planning and implementing exploration activities

·         Mapping field geology, sampling, and reporting

·         Interpretation of geological information

·         Creating computerized geologic models for existing and potential new deposits

·         Assist with mine design and extraction

·         Supervise and provide direction / assistance to the drilling crews

The candidate must hold a BS degree in Geology and have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Field Geologist. An MS is preferred.  The individual must be technically adept and can demonstrate a solid record of accomplishment in finding and proving ore reserves.  The right candidate will be accustomed to working with a high degree of autonomy and be comfortable making sound decisions that will directly impact the Company’s future mine reserves.
