Land Manager Our client is known as one of the worlds leading minerals producers. A financially strong and growing company, recent success includes a 150% Increase in Quarterly Production due to high demand. Scope: Acquire, maintain, manage and dispose of properties and other related land rights to meet corporate goals and objectives. Duties and Responsibilities: Investigate and prepare title reports on surface and mineral ownership. Prepare appropriate documents required in exploration, development and operations including Mining Claims, Leases, Options, Joint Venture Agreements, Easements and Title Curative documents. Contact landowners and negotiate the terms of surface and mineral agreements. Prepare acreage and lease summaries for management and departmental use. Work with assistant and drafting to ensure land files, records and maps are accurate and properly maintained. Work with assistant as necessary to prepare tickler notices to inform management of important dates and obligations, such as payments, work commitments, reports, expirations, and assignments. Ensure land payments are timely and accurately paid. Keep Management fully informed of local land issues and problems. Work as part of the team to ensure objectives are timely met. Assist with preparation and review of permitting documents, annual budgets and authorization for expenditures (AFEs). Monitor competitor activities in Region and report on land acquisition activity. Skills: Must be familiar with land records for Counties, State and the Bureau of Land Management. Must be able to prepare reports/summaries using word processing, Excel spreadsheets and data bases, with a high degree of detail and accuracy. Must have good interpersonal skills. Must have strong organizational skills. Should be a self starter and work with a minimum of supervision. Training and Experience: Have a Bachelors Degree or equivalent on the job training and at least ten years experience in land work. Have a working knowledge of realty, contract and business law. |

VP Land - Minerals The incumbent will carry out executive leadership and determine company objectives in relation to company mineral reserves, mineral leases, and long term site mining plans. Duties and Responsibilities: Property, Mineral Reserves, and Mineral Leases. o Review and Approve Site Mining Plans. o Ensure that company is maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. o Maintain records of property documents, lease agreements, governmental obligations. o Work with business teams, site leaders, and engineering function leaders to set priorities and provide/acquire resources to meet agreed plans. o Assure compliance with contract schedules. Project Engineering o Develop strategic plans for acquisitions and future mining operations. o Lead the team to investigate mineral asset opportunities to build asset portfolio for future opportunities. o Direct and Support Technical requirements for Mining operations. o Direct and Support Engineering Groups. Education and Experience: Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Geology. Masters Level Education Desired. Advanced degree in related fields of engineering preferred. 10+ years of mining project experience and experience in a leadership role required. Significant experience/involvement with mining plans, mining reserves, property development, permitting and leasing. Active participation in professional or industry associations & ability to represent company in a professional manner to such groups. |

Environmental Coordinator - Permitting & Compliance & Natural Resources / Wildlife Management: Global Minerals Leader This is a unique role with a very strong client. Our client has LED EFFORTS FOR NEW, GREEN FIELD PROPERTY DEVELOPMENT. Global leader in their industry who has MORE THAN DOUBLED their gross revenue in the last 5 years. Currently planning an OVER 50% increase in capital spending for the coming year financed through strong cash reserves. This position will allow a professional to combine their expertise and knowledge of permitting and natural resources management. Ideally the client would like to find an individual with a strong background in permitting with additional knowledge in any of the following: biology, conservation, natural resources management, wildlife studies, ecology, environmental science, sustainability. The incumbent will focus on permitting & the responsible management of natural resources and wildlife on mining properties, and will be a strong partner in new property development. Strong candidates will have a Bachelors Degree in any of the following or related: biology, conservation, wildlife, ecology, sustainability environmental science with a minimum of 2 years experience in the mining industry or related field, to include surface and/or underground mining operations, and permitting. Strong background in managing natural resources including wildlife. Ability to recommend effective strategies and support the management systems approach. Working knowledge of applicable environmental and permit regulations. Key activities include: Provide timely technical review all documents (annual reports, progress reports, all licensing actions, etc) to be submitted to the regulatory agencies Manage all environmental permitting activities Assist site and divisional management on permitting actions Lead responses to information requests from regulatory agencies Review existing permits and ensure that sites are aware of all permit obligations Lead the development of a permit and license requirement tracking system Determine status of permits and develop a schedule to ensure completion of all outstanding issues Represent company with regulators associated with projects Ensures compliance with applicable local, state and federal permitting regulations Develops excellent relationships with regulators and permit writers Determine obstacles to gaining permit approval and develop a plan to mitigate obstacles |
