Description and Qualifications

Operations/Production - Manager

DESCRIPTION

Responsible for Plant Operations and Production Management. Work closely with senior process, maintenance, engineering and corporate management personnel to improve productivity. Apply Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to plant operations.

REQUIREMENTS

BS Engineering preferred with experience in the steel industry. Experience directing and leading plant operations, maintenance and engineering personnel. Track record of improving productivity. Work with multiple disciplines as part of management development program. Experience with ISO9000/QS9000 and Six Sigma.

• Responsible for plant process optimization, troubleshooting and debottlenecking.

• Develop and implement creative, innovative, proactive operations and process solutions.

• BS Chemical Engineering.

• Directed training and development of plant personnel.

• Experience in continuous process plant producing minerals, metals or chemicals with high temperature processing, pyro-processing, kiln or calciner operations including aluminum, steel, copper, cement, waste incineration or other similar materials.

• Experience supervising plant operations, maintenance and engineering personnel.

• Strong interest in moving into Plant Management in the future.

• Willingness to relocate will greatly accelerate career advancement.

• Responsible for plant with chemical, continuous processing operations.

• Manage Production Foremen.

• Responsible for area budget.

• Developed and implemented creative, innovative, proactive operations and process solutions.

• Directed training and development of plant personnel.

• Willingness to relocate will greatly accelerate career advancement.
